Oh its coming! The words are starting to fly! And they’re starting to come out in groups of a couple at a time. Usually its “Bye-bye Tree!” or “Hi Doggie!” but they are here! And when they start for sure, mommy is positive the words will never stop! Logan is an inquisitive guy. He loves to point to pictures and makes his “huh?” sounds to get mom or dad say the name of the object. He tries to repeat everything he hears and at times, is astoundingly successful! It’s amazing what he puts together receptively. For instance, now when he sees pictures of fish he sings, “LaLaLaLa” for Elmo’s goldfish Dorothy! He is showing a strong interest in letters now. He can already identify B, Y, O, I, & M. He has a wood puzzle that he loves and he plays with his magnets at Gram’s house. Logan is loving being outside on nice days and will name everything he sees. The quality of his play has changed quite a bit this month. Whereas he used to need constant interaction, he seems more content to explore on his own for short periods, and sit and play with blocks or books. He is starting to build instead of just knock down, and he shows interest in how things work. Logan is a good boy with a strong sense of routine. He expects naps, dinner and bedtime to occur at the same time and gets quite cranky if not! At bedtime, Logan takes a bath and plays with his stacking cups and after PJs he plays with his puzzle and reads books. The favorites now are Elmo and Bob. At 7 o’clock, Logan turns off his own light (does “two”) and snuggles into mom or dad’s shoulder before quietly getting in his crib with his Gators football. Night Night Baby!
