No! No!

There's no doubt my little guy knows exactly what he's doing! Even when he's doing something wrong, he tells himself "NO! NO!" Of course, he does it anyway...If only those frontal lobes would hurry!

Just yesterday I caught him (which I use loosely - you'll understand in a sec!) behind the standing picture frame that he broke in December. He knows he's not allowed near it, especially after he broke it and then proceeded to REbreak the "fix" I tried and gave up on. But now he loves to crawl behind it and stick his head through the broken frame hole. Usually he tells himself "No, No" but yesterday he snuck back there and yelled a surprising "HI!" over and over until I came in and found him. (Unfortunately, I couldn't get the camera quite fast enough, it was truly hysterical). I tried hard to reprimand as I laughed my head off and snapped a late shot!

It is amazing how much Logan is learning so quickly. He talks up a storm even when he's the only one who can understand. He loves to read his books to himself. And now he can identify books by the cover and tell me the names of pictures inside! He is beginning more pretend and creative play which is just wild to watch. He grabs the dog's water dish and yells "bowl!" (water inside, of course) and then turns it over puts it on his head and yells "dada!" (his word for hat - whats wrong with that?)

Logan is 18 months today! So hard to believe he's growing up so fast. On good days I have the energy needed to keep up with him, but that usually involves a copilot to navigate the day! Most days, naps are short and activity is fast. This mom is tired when the day is done. Its a good thing its over by 7! I know when he's big and no longer wants to hang out with Mom or need her every second of attention, I'll be sad. Until then, we get through the day one 'No No!' at a time...
